1. The Spanish Steps

These steps were built between 1723-1725 and consist of 135 steps. Above the steps in the beautiful Trinita dei Monti church. Best thing there is no charge to visit the Spanish Steps.

2. Trevi Fountain

The Trevi Fountain was so beautiful. The only bad thing is because it is free to visit there are tourist everywhere! If you can plan to go here super early or at night.

3. The Colosseum

I feel like you cannot be in Rome and not visit the Colosseum. It is up to you whether or not you go inside. Tickets from memory where not the cheapest but I think it was worth it. The day we went it also was not to busy. If you don’t want to spend the money to go inside the outside is just an amazing and there are many areas to get amazing photos.

4. The Pantheon

Now a Catholic church, the Pantheon used to be a Roman temple. The Pantheon is one of the most persevered ancient buildings in Rome. Honestly it was so amazing to see something so old! The only bad thing it is super busy and the line can get very long.

5. The Vatican

When we went to the Vatican we went SUPER early. We also did not buy tickets. We found that you can take a look at one of the churches for free but the rest you need to pay except on the first Sunday of the month its free. Even with tickets the line was huge! The Vatican also is not in near all the other places listed above. We went to the Vatican first and the others spots during the day.

6. The biggest Mcdonald's EVER

You are probably thinking what! But honestly this was insane. In Rome is the biggest Mcdonald’s I have even seen. It was severally levels and in the most beautiful building as well. Even if you don’t eat Mcdonald’s you need to check it out.

Those are my 6 recommendations if you only have 1 day in Rome and want to see as much as you can. These locations are also either cheap or free!! So if you are travelling on a budget you can do and see lots in Rome as well.
