This is my favorite time of the year. I spend so much time in department stores just looking at the Christmas decorations. My imagination goes wild with how I can set up my home and spread the festive season all through my house. It can be hard to figure out what decorations you want, so we have put together some ideas that will hopefully help. As you will see it has been separated into each room to make it easier to plan.

Lounge/Family Room
Let’s start with the lounge room or you may call it your family room. The lounge room is where I try and have as many Christmas decoration as possible.
I have a large open entry space with a buffet so I am going to place Christmas decorations on it. Entry Christmas decorations can go either way. Over the top or low key. It really depends on your space. To save some money I will also have Christmas printables as well.
I love putting little Christmas decorations in the kitchen. You don’t need to go overboard but you can place subtle hints like red mugs. Another idea is that you can get battery operated lights and get a vase with some pine cones. Simple, effective, and budget friendly.
Bedrooms are another area that I tend to spew Christmas decorations everywhere. In our house, this is where I have a second tree and not a baby tree, a big tree! A tradition I have is to watch Xmas movies in there with the Christmas tree lights on. It makes me so happy. You should try it!
The dining space is one area that I do not go crazy with Christmas decorations. Hard to believe from what you have just read but it’s true. Keep that table simple. I just place something small in the middle of the table and focus on cute Christmas plates for the big day.
Last but not least we cannot forget about the outside. This is where you can put up the best Christmas decorations – LIGHTS! There are also other cute things you can put in your garden as well.
